The CDTI (@CDTIoficial) and Technological Corporation of Andalusia (CTA) have released the results of the second call for proposals of the European INNOWWIDE project. 25 Spanish SMEs have obtained funding to evaluate the viability of taking their technology projects to markets outside of Europe. In the first INNOWWIDE call, 20 Spanish SMEs obtained funding for their innovative projects, so that there are already 45 Spanish companies that will receive financial support from this project.
The second call has selected the proposals of 70 innovative SMEs from all over Europe, with a budget of 4.2 million euros from European funds. Spain has been the country that has obtained the most funded projects (25), followed by the Netherlands (12) and Italy (5). The most requested destination country to carry out the projects has been the United States, accounting for 20% of the funded studies, followed by India, Brazil and China.
The SMEs will receive up to € 60,000 to analyse the viability of developing innovative business projects based on international technology cooperation, in other words, projects in collaboration with technology local partners in the target countries. The funded studies address key aspects to guarantee the technological and commercial development of each project, as well as its successful implementation in the target market.
