CTA held a coordination meeting of the European project GALACTICA in Seville on 12 and 13 May, in which 10 entities from 8 European countries (France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Germany, Austria and Belgium) participated.
The general director of CTA, Elías Atienza, welcomed the attendees and highlighted the participation of CTA in more than 25 European projects related to innovation and new technologies.
At the meeting, the project partners presented the progress of the work packages and agreed on the next actions to support the SMEs that have received funding. Among them, several events, workshops and coaching actions are planned to create synergies and collaboration opportunities, and to promote access to investment.
In addition, the partners carried out a group activity to propose good practices in the creation of cross-sectoral value chains following the lessons learned from the project, which will be collected in a guide. A visit to the facilities of the Advanced Center for Aerospace Technologies (CATEC) was also organised.
GALACTICA has just published the results of its second call for proposals, in which 20 Spanish SMEs have obtained funding to develop innovative advanced manufacturing solutions for application in the textile and aerospace sectors.
AEI Tèxtils (coordinator), CTA and ATEVAL are the Spanish partners in this project, which is funded by the European Union (EU) Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.
