The objective of the European GEN4OLIVE project is to characterize, conserve and exploit the genetic resources of the olive tree, bringing them closer to both breeders of new varieties and olive growers, for the improvement of the crop and food security.

The universities of Córdoba (coordinator), Jaén and Granada, Corporación Tecnológica de Andalucía (CTA) and the companies Galpagro, Cámbrico Biotech and Santa Cruz Ingeniería are the Andalusian entities participating in this project.

GEN4OLIVE has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement no. 101000427.

CTA activity

CTA is the entity responsible for preparing and implementing the two calls for proposals aimed at SMEs to be launched by GEN4OLIVE. CTA will also participate in the organization of events to promote the calls for proposals and attract SMEs.
