Addressing the water-energy nexus to shape a green transition for Europe

EERES4WATER holds its final conference on September 28, 2022 at 11:30 CEST to present the results of the project. Speakers will share policy recommendations, tools and technological solutions to promote resource efficiency in the water cycle. The following topics will be addressed:

• How can we boost the role of the water-energy nexus in shaping a sustainable and green transition for Europe?
• The use of renewable energies in the water-energy nexus
• How can we improve energy efficiency in the water-energy nexus?

These topics will be addressed through oral presentations by relevant speakers and an expert roundtable to which key stakeholders in the water-energy nexus will be invited.

The event is organized in a hybrid format: in person in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and online. Attendees participating in the face-to-face event will have a welcome coffee and cocktail, followed by a visit to the facilities of the Instituto Tecnológico de Canarias (ITC) and one of its desalination plants.
