ICEX Internationalization Program Next

The ICEX Internationalization Program, ICEX Next, wants to help you internationalize your business, in order to increase your turnover abroad, reduce business risk and increase global competitiveness.

The objective of the ICEX Next Program is to help you develop or contrast your internationalization strategy, analyze the best destinations for your product or service and support you in a business plan focused on the selected markets. All this, through specialized advice from the best national and international consultants and advisors approved by ICEX, during a 24-month process, and with the support of an economic subsidy of up to 24,000 euros.

The program offers:

- BLOCK 1: Advice provided by professional experts in different areas of internationalization and foreign competitiveness.
- BLOCK 2: Financial support for prospecting and foreign promotion expenses, expenses for the development of the commercial network, as well as the hiring of personnel for the international department.

Beneficiaries

Spanish SMEs with export potential that wish to initiate, consolidate or reorient their international strategy and meet the following requirements:

- Own product or service that can be marketed internationally.
- Private label.
- Not to be a commercial or productive subsidiary of a foreign company.
- Turnover over €200,000 (not required in case of start-ups)
- Companies will be able to access the program regardless of the percentage of international sales of total turnover, with the special focus of this call on companies that consolidate or reorient their position abroad and the desire to include those companies that due to the characteristics of their business model must be global from the beginning.
- Not having previously participated in ICEX initiation programs (PIPE or ICEX Next).
o Companies that have participated in these programs prior to January 1, 2015 may be eligible if their sales in the United Kingdom exceed €300,000 and/or the percentage of their sales in the United Kingdom out of their total international sales exceeds 30%.
o Companies that have participated in these programs between 1997 and 2005, and that have a turnover of more than 1,500,000 euros in the last fiscal year may be beneficiaries of the program.

Financeable items

Specialized consulting services: ICEX NEXT grants a total of 50 hours of personalized consulting services to companies. There is an obligation to do 30 hours of strategic consulting and an additional 20 hours of specialized or even strategic consulting can be done voluntarily if necessary.

Deadline for submission

There will be four application periods:
1. From February 10 to 28, 2022
2. From May 10 to May 31, 2022
3. From September 10 to September 30, 2022
4. From December 10 to December 31, 2022
