The European project ZEST unveils its new logo
  • The design features a mushroom in the shape of a house with the phrase 'Fungi Fermentation supported by Digital Modeling' as context.
  • The new logo, versatile, simple, and accessible, will be deployed across all digital and physical platforms where the project is present.

The European project ZEST, co-financed by the public-private initiative Circular Bio-based Joint Undertaken (CBE JU), now has a logo. Versatile, simple, and accessible, the design, the result of several months of work and idea exchange among the members of the consortium of this innovative European project, features a mushroom in the shape of a house with the phrase ‘Fungi Fermentation supported by Digital Modeling’ as context, and aims to reflect the purpose, objectives, and theme of ZEST.

Additionally, the color palette (aqua green, navy blue, and earth brown) evokes specific emotions and meanings related to the research line in which ZEST is framed and the program that funds it. The font was not chosen lightly either, as the intention was for it to be clear and easily readable in various sizes, allowing the logo to be scalable whether used in small or large formats.

The new logo will be deployed on all digital and physical platforms where the project is present, along with the other official logos of the CBE JU.

About ZEST

ZEST is a new European research initiative co-financed by the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) with a duration of four years, which uses the fermentation process of fungi to reduce the production of agro-industrial waste, one of the major environmental challenges identified by the European Union. The project has a total budget of €7.5M and is driven by a collaborative consortium of twelve entities from five different countries, including CTA.
