The European project AeroSTREAM, in which CTA participates, will have a stand at the European Researchers' Night, which in 2024 will be held on the weekend of 27 September in the eight Andalusian capitals.

AeroSTREAM promotes improving the quality of innovation management, collaboration between researchers, technology transfer and citizen participation of HEIs in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as increasing the scientific excellence profiles of these educational institutions. In addition, the project, which has received funding from the Horizon Europe programme, involves 14 European entities from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Spain, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic.

The 2024 edition of the European Researchers' Night is again dedicated to Horizon Europe Missions, and includes among its main innovations the launch of Missions as a new way to implement R&D&I with a social and economic impact in areas of interest for the EU and its citizens. These missions are defined as a portfolio of interdisciplinary actions based on R&D&I, aimed at achieving a bold and inspiring, yet measurable, goal that has a major impact on society.

On behalf of CTA, the technical manager of the aerospace sector and production processes of CTA, Silvia de los Santos; the Innovation technicians Nicola Asaro and María Jiménez; and Marta González, Communication technician, the work team involved in the project, will attend this event. Other projects such as BATMASS will also be present at the event to disseminate research activity.

What is European Researchers' Night?

The European Researchers' Night is a European scientific dissemination project promoted since 2005 by the European Commission within the Marie Sktodowska-Curie actions of the Horizon Europe programme, which takes place simultaneously in almost 400 European cities in more than 30 countries.

In Andalusia, the proposal is coordinated by the Descubre Foundation with funding from the Regional Ministry of University, Research and Innovation, and brings together the participation in consortium of twelve other Andalusian scientific institutions from the eight provinces. The aim of this initiative is to bring the research community closer to the general public so that they can learn about their work, the benefits they bring to society and their impact on everyday life. All of this will take place within the framework of festive and fun activities, whose protagonists are both the public and those who carry out research in Andalusia.
