The European project SCALE-UP is organizing Session #2 of the workshop "Building a Sustainable Future: Innovative Governance Tools for the Circular Bioeconomy", which will take place on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, from 9:00 to 11:20 AM (CET) in the main room of the event.

The workshop will begin with an introduction to the SCALE-UP project at 9:00 AM, followed by presentations on successful governance tools for the circular bioeconomy, such as the ROBIN toolbox, presented by Nadja Schlichenmaier from Steinbeis Europa Zentrum. Later, an open discussion will be moderated by WIP and CTA.

Key topics to be presented include:

  • Biowaste in Macedonia: Mapping the Problem and Finding Solutions by Nikola Derebanov from Viridi.
  • BIOTRANSFORM: Logistic Tools for Transitioning to a Circular Bioeconomy by Astrid Stalmans from VITO.
  • CCRI: Self-assessment Tool for Cities and Regions by Jannis Lambert from CCRI-CSO.

The session aims to explore how innovative governance tools can support regions in transitioning to a circular bioeconomy and to promote knowledge sharing between regions​.
