The objective of the event is to present international financing opportunities for European companies in Australia, providing characteristics, instruments and types of financing for their projects.
The first session will be given by Daniel O'Toole, Senior Advisor in the areas of Space, Defense and Advanced Manufacturing at
Austrade and Senior Policy Adviser at the Australian Space Agency (ASA). In this session, the topic will be mainly oriented to activities related to Earth Observation:
- Programs (Earth Observation and Space) and type of instruments (grants, loans, etc.) that ASA offers to European SMEs.
- Conditions, requirements and eligibility criteria for accessing these programs and financing instruments.
- Platforms and tools to search for potential partners in Australia for cooperation in funded programs.
- Recommendations for European SMEs when applying to ASA funding programs and instruments.
The second session (in Spanish) is aimed specifically at Spanish entities, as the opportunities offered by
CDTI for international technological cooperation with Australia will be presented by Merced Perez, CDTI Asia-Pacific coordinator.
The event is organized by CTA within the framework of the European project ConnectEO,
Connecting European Earth Observation to International Markets(www.connect-eo.eu). The ConnectEO project has been funded by the COSME Program of the European Union under grant agreement No. 951124.
