The Interreg AIHRE project (Analysis and Promotion of Renewable H2 in the POCTEP region) aims to promote the use of hydrogen, developing the necessary technology for its valorisation as renewable hydrogen. The project aims to provide the necessary impetus for its implementation in the POCTEP area (Spain and Portugal), carrying out an analysis of the different renewable hydrogen value chains of interest.
To achieve this objective, the AIHRE project will develop tools for the feasibility analysis of the implementation of renewable hydrogen use value chains, as well as tools for the optimisation of the integration and operation of these value chains in the current energy generation, distribution and use scenarios. In addition, it will generate critical technologies that foster the feasibility of implementing these renewable hydrogen value chains.
The multi-regional consortium of the AIHRE project will ensure the creation of a technological and business network that will make it possible to take advantage of the renewable hydrogen generation potential of the POCTEP area, as well as to valorise the economic potential of the entire area around the implementation of the renewable hydrogen value chain.
