The European DIVA project , with 10 partners and a total budget of more than 4 million euros for three years, which has been approved for funding from the European Horizon 2020 (H2020) program, the European Commission’s major framework for supporting innovation and research.
The DIVA project, led by the French cluster Agri-Sud Ouest Innovation and involving 10 partners from 6 European countries (France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Greece and Ireland), aims to boost the digitization of the agri-food, environmental and forestry sectors.
Specifically, it aims to promote the generation of new value chains for the digitization of the business fabric of these sectors, for which it will provide support to innovative agricultural, food, forestry, environmental and ICT SMEs through the provision of innovation support services and incentive programs for technological development, demonstration and internationalization projects. The main challenge of the project is to reduce the gap between ICT suppliers and the European agri-food industry.
