The European project GALACTICA aims to support the creation of new value chains in the textile and aerospace industry based on advanced manufacturing, i.e. the application of advanced digital technologies to make the manufacturing process more efficient.
The project has a total budget of EUR 5 million, of which EUR 4 million will go to support innovation by European SMEs, including financial support of EUR 3 million through two calls for innovative projects, hackathons and travel vouchers.
Corporación Tecnológica de Andalucía (CTA), AEI Tèxtils (coordinator) and ATEVAL are the Spanish partners in this project, which is made up of 10 European partners and funded by the European Union (EU) Horizon 2020 research and innovation program.
