The European InTransit project aims to strengthen the resilience of textile, aerospace, construction and advance manufacturing SMEs as greener and digital sectors with a mixed support mechanism that includes individual counseling and a funding voucher to ensure their consolidation and sustainability.

InTransit (Strengthening the resilience of textile, aerospace, and construction SMEs to transition towards greener and more digital sectors with social and business innovation) has a total budget of €5 million, of which €3 million will be distributed through cascade funding to SMEs and one million will be used to provide them with services to advance their digital and green transition.

To boost the competitiveness of European SMEs for their transition, InTransit has developed a strategy consisting of four key pillars:
INCUBAR a series of joint services to support SMEs in identifying opportunities, needs and market pain points and connecting the different sectors favoring cross-sector learning, exchange of best practices and collaborative development.

  • INNOVATION support for SMEs through personalized advisory services, including a self-assessment and circular/digital diagnosis, and coaching/training at the strategic level (business model).
  • DEVELOPMENT of transition projects for SMEs with financial support through cascade financing, complemented by a coaching service.
  • SCALING to the market with additional customized services, using additional private or public funds through the European Structural and Investment Funds or other sources.

The InTransit project has received funding from the Horizon Europe program and involves 9 European entities from Austria, Spain, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy and Portugal.
