The first DIGITbrain call for proposals, with grants of up to 100,000 euros to develop digital twin experiments, closed on June 30 after receiving 27 proposals from 62 organisations, from 11 European countries. Italy (32%), Spain (27%), Hungary (20%) and Germany (6%) have been the countries with the most participation.
Technological Corporation of Andalusia (CTA) will coordinate the selection of the proposals, together with 15 independent evaluators. The selected proposals will be communicated in September 2021.
In this first call, 7 new experiments will be funded with up to 100,000 euros per project and 60,000 per partner. The objective of the experiments will be to implement specific use cases based on digital twin technology, which consists of a virtual replica of products, services and processes to optimize their management.
