CTA participates in the training of 60 European researchers on technology transfer in the blue economy sector

CTA has participated in the training of 60 researchers from five Atlantic area countries (Spain, Portugal, France, United Kingdom and Ireland) on innovation and technology transfer skills in the blue economy sector.

Framed in the European EMPORIA4KT project and funded by Interreg Atlantic Area, the Blue Economy Technology Transfer Program aims to help researchers transfer their projects to the market. In addition, it seeks to foster new professional networks between researchers and experts in the sector.

The CTA Innovation Consultants Macarena Ureña, Rocío de la Rosa and Carmen Girón, together with the Communication Officer Marisol Castro, have given several training courses on negotiation and communication skills, raising public-private funding and planning scenarios, among others.

The program is divided into two stages: training and case study development. This first phase of training has provided researchers with the necessary skills for the case study, which will consist of developing the path to market for blue economy technologies. In this second stage, the Energy and Biotechnology Technical Officers of CTA, Germán López and Carmen Ronchel, respectively, and the Innovation consultant Juan Carlos Moreno will participate as mentors.

The development of this program responds to the need to support young researchers in the development of their skills in technology transfer and innovation as well as marketing, to meet the ambitious objective of creating a sustainable blue economy in Europe.
