The Agrifood Technical Officer of CTA, Nathalie Chavrier, and the Business Development Consultant Macarena Ureña have participated from 11th to 13th March in a coordination meeting of the European project DIVA held in Cork, Ireland.
The meeting is part of the evaluation phase of the first Call for Proposals, which closed on February 1st, 2019 with a notable success of participation: 147 proposals from 200 European SMEs. Spain was the second country with the most applications submitted and Andalusia reached 56% of the Spanish proposals.
The first Call for Proposals of this European project is aimed at SMEs that incorporate digital technologies in the agrifood, environmental and forestry sectors.
The DIVA consortium, led by the French cluster Agri-Sud Ouest Innovation, is working on the evaluation of proposals and will announce the selected projects at the end of this month, which will be funded with aids of € 10,000 for maturation, up to € 60,000 for demonstration and € 30,000 for internationalization activities.
CTA participates in the project DIVA, together with 10 EU partners and a total budget of more than 4 million euros for three years, which has been approved to receive funding from the Horizon 2020 program (H2020), the European Commission’s major framework for supporting innovation and research.
