CTA (Technological Corporation of Andalusia) participates in the SCAIRA project, a new initiative funded by the Interreg SUDOE program whose main objective is to advise entrepreneurs in the creation and acceleration of startups in rural areas within the aerospace and automotive sector.

The SCAIRA initiative, will last three years and is promoted by a consortium of thirteen entities from Spain, Portugal and France. It will be developed by five incubators, two of them equipped with research infrastructures. Moreover, entrepreneurs will be able to register through three calls, which are expected to crystallize at least 45 business projects. In addition, five clusters from the partners’ regional ecosystems will identify industrial, territorial and environmental challenges.

In recent years, rural areas in Southern Europe have suffered an increase in depopulation and deindustrialization, with an annual population decline of 0.1% (Eurostat, 2023). The SCAIRA program will be of great benefit to the regions involved, as it will contribute to the expansion of their productive and business sector through job creation and the promotion of a culture of entrepreneurship.
