Technological Corporation of Andalusia (CTA) has participated, through its European project ULTFARMS, in the third edition of Blue Mission Arena, held on November 25 and 26 in Amsterdam (The Netherlands). This international event has established itself as a key meeting point to promote the circular blue economy, with a special focus on the North Sea region, which includes the Netherlands, Belgium, western Germany and Denmark, and northern France.
ULTFARMS and sustainability
On November 25, CTA took part in two actions within the framework of ULTFARMS. On the one hand, María Jiménez conducted the first capitalization workshop in which she presented the preliminary results to the partners and detailed the methodology that will guide the next steps of the project. Rafael Dueñas also led a sustainability workshop, highlighting the alignment of ULTFARMS business models with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the taxonomy of the European Union, ensuring their environmental, social and economic responsibility.
The innovative “MariPark” concept
On the other hand, on November 26, CTA participated in a workshop dedicated to “MariPark”, a pioneering concept of multi-use projects in ocean environments. This innovative approach proposes new ways to manage, exploit and govern marine resources, assessing their economic viability and their potential to transform the blue economy.
The third edition of Blue Mission Arena has established itself as a key forum to promote innovative solutions in the circular blue economy and strengthen international cooperation in this area. CTA’s participation reinforces its leadership in the sector, seeking solutions to accelerate the transition to more sustainable business models aligned with the global objectives of responsible development.
