Support for technology-based entrepreneurship
ISR obtains a loan from ENISA for €225,000 with the support of CTA to develop its Industry 4.0 lines.
ISR, a spinoff of the University of Jaén, is an expert in advanced automation technologies, artificial vision and robotics to develop solutions for Industry 4.0 and precision agriculture, among others.
Quality control of transparent or reflective parts with high aesthetic value is its main product. In addition, in the agricultural sector, Almazara 4.0 and Olivar 4.0 are some of the ISR products that enable the measurement of olive oil and olive quality and yield indicators.

The company ISR (Sensory Integration and Robotics) from Jaén, Spain. has obtained, with the advice and support of CTA, a participative loan from the National Innovation Entity (ENISA) in the amount of 225,000€ to provide them with the necessary financial resources to enable them to develop their main lines of work in the industry: quality control by vision and digitization of the agricultural sector.

With the support of CTA, we have managed to apply for such a competitive grant as ENISA and we are very happy to have reached this milestone,” says Business Development Director Arturo López, who adds that “We appreciate the service provided by CTA which, without a doubt, has been a fantastic job.”

ISR is a spin-off of the University of Jaén specialized in advanced automation, artificial vision and robotics to develop solutions for Industry 4.0 and Precision Agriculture, i.e. the digitization of industry and agriculture. ISR’s main line of action is the use of machine vision to address the quality control of certain processes in industry. For example, interior/exterior parts (lighting) in the automotive sector. It also develops advanced automation projects in the process and aeronautics industries. Almazara 4.0 and Olivar 4.0 are ISR’s trademarks in the agri-food sector and include products such as the SmartNIR, an IoT device that provides online oil yield data in the decanter.

The support provided by CTA to ISR is part of its support service for raising external financing for technology-based entrepreneurs, with which it has a success rate of over 45% in the Neotec program of the CDTI (@CDTIoficial) and over 94% in ENISA, among other programs.

Sensory integration, advanced automation and robotics
ISR was born in 2016 as a spin-off of the University of Jaén (UJA) from the results of the Research Group in Robotics, Automation and Computer Vision of that university. ISR has extensive experience in the development of new technological solutions and products based on sensory integration and advanced automation for the industry.

ISR, with a multidisciplinary team with extensive experience in research, development and innovation projects, offers a high specialization in Industry 4.0. He specializes in classic disciplines such as mechanical design and manufacturing, electronic integration or software development, as well as in the most innovative ones. ISR's focus is on having an international reach, as is already beginning to happen, accessing the market through different productive sectors, such as aeronautics, logistics, ophthalmology, processes (metal and stone), plastics, agri-food...

Valeo, Cosentino, FM Logistic, Acerinox, Indo Optical, Weidplas-Techniplas, Alvic Group, Thielmann Portinox, Teknia Automotive, the University of Cordoba and a number of oil cooperative groups are among its customers. The foreign market already accounts for 10% of sales and is expected to reach 50% in a few years.
