The Sevillian company Santa Cruz Ingeniería has obtained a grant of 60,000 euros from the European DIVA project to finance the development of a software called Neolivar, which applies artificial intelligence to improve the management of pests and diseases in the olive grove.
CTA (Technological Corporation of Andalusia) has advised and supported Santa Cruz Ingeniería in obtaining this aid from the European DIVA project, which is an H2020 cascade funding initiative, i.e. a tool being used by the European Union so that SMEs and small companies and entrepreneurs have the possibility of receiving European funding individually, without the need to participate directly in the large direct calls of the European Commission.
“Thanks to CTA, we have obtained financing for a technified, more profitable and environmentally friendly olive grove,” says the CEO of Santa Cruz Ingeniería, who particularly appreciates the support provided by CTA “to initiate the internationalization of our company’s R&D”.
For the development of the project, Santa Cruz Ingeniería has collaborated with the Portuguese olive company Dream Ocassion.
