Since its creation, the Universidad Pablo de Olavide has maintained a firm commitment to making University-Business cooperation an instrument of progress. Its Office for the Transfer of Research Results (OTRI) was set up in 2000 and since then has played an important role in the university’s transfer mission, providing the necessary support to the activity of its researchers with the aim of translating their research into business or social innovation, as indicated in the annual transfer productivity reports.
Thus, the transfer of results is one of the missions of public universities and consists of ensuring that the advances in knowledge and achievements derived from scientific research reach the market and benefit society as a whole, with collaboration with companies being one of the most effective ways to achieve this.
